Pamela was the first cousin of actor and host Simi Garewal. Pamela married Yash in 1970 and they were married for 42 years until his death in 2012.

Pamela was a popular figure in the filmmaking industry and lent her voice to songs such as 'Ghar Aaja Pardesi' and 'Main Sasural Nahi Jaungi.'

Pamela wrote 'Kabhi Kabhie' and 'Dil To Pagal Hai's story and worked as a designer for 'Silsila' and 'Sawaal.'
