Amitabh Bachchan has called for legal action after a deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral on social media. The video shows a woman entering an elevator and has sparked concerns over AI.
The video, which has gone viral on X and Instagram, shows a young woman dressed in black, entering an elevator and talking to someone. Mandanna's face was swapped on someone else's body.
Journalist @AbhishekSay revealed the original video featuring data engineer @zaarapatellll. Patel had uploaded this video back in October on Instagram.
Bachchan shared the original video and wrote, 'Yes, this is a strong case for legal.' He also retweeted an article discussing the legal framework for such crimes.
Previously, a morphed clip from 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' featuring Bachchan was used for political purposes, prompting Sony TV to involve the Cyber Cell.
