Complaint filed against Taapsee

Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu has been accused of hurting religious sentiments and spreading obscenity by BJP MLA's son in Indore, as per a complaint registered with the police.

Pannu in legal trouble

The complaint was filed by Eklavya Singh Gaur on Monday, based on Pannu's video and images from a fashion show, dated March 14.

Plaint over outfit

Pannu's attire at Lakme Fashion Week, including a necklace depicting Goddess Laxmi, has sparked allegations of hurting religious sentiments and spreading obscenity.

Investigation underway

Kamal Sharma, Thana In-charge of Chatripura Police Station, said that the matter is presently under investigation.

About the complainant

Gaur, convenor of Hindi Rakshak Sanghthan, earlier filed an FIR in January 2021 against comedian Munawar Faruqui, accusing him of mocking Hindu deities. Munawar was later sent to judicial custody.
