Om Raut slammed for 'kissing' Kriti

Director Om Raut is being criticized by a section of Twitter users after planting a peck on Kriti Sanon's cheek during their visit to Tirupati temple ahead of 'Adipurush's release.

Controversy

A video doing rounds online shows a friendly hug and kiss between Sanon and Raut. Ramesh Naidu Nogothu, BJP State Secretary in Andhra Pradesh expressed anger over the matter but later deleted his tweet.

His tweet said that "engaging in public displays of affection in front of Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala is deemed disrespectful and unacceptable."

'Adipurush' has also faced criticism for 'misrepresenting mythological figures.' In fact, the backlash was so severe that the film's release was pushed from January to June.
