Karthik Raja's 50th birthday

Karthik Raja, a renowned Tamil music composer and the eldest son of Ilaiyaraaja turned 50 years old on Thursday. Here's a look at his non-Tamil projects.

'Grahan'

He composed the album for 2001's Hindi film 'Grahan,' his first non-Tamil project. The songs were written by Mehboob and Ila Arun, and Raja won also the Filmfare RD Burman Award for it.

'Hoo Anthiya Uhoo Anthiya'

Renowned singer Sadhana Sargam made her Kannada debut along with Raja in the 2001 film 'Hoo Anthiya Uhoo Anthiya,' which received positive reviews.

'Mitr, My Friend'

Raja, composed the background score for the English film 'Mitr, My Friend' depicting women's struggles in prioritizing family.

'Tuneega Tuneega'

The 2012 Telugu movie 'Tuneega Tuneega' marked Raja's debut as a music composer, with eight tracks featuring lyrics by Krishna Chaitanya and "Sirivennela" Seetharama Sastry.

'Rajadhi Raja'

Ilaiyaraaja composed two songs for the 2014 Malayalam action thriller 'Rajadhi Raja,' starring Mammootty and Siddique, while Berny-Ignatius composed one.
