HBO Max has confirmed that it'll be going ahead with a new 'Harry Potter' series. Makers have also clarified whether controversial series creator JK Rowling will be a part of it.

HBO's stance
HBO and Max Content's CEOCasey Bloys, when asked whether Rowling will be involved despite her transphobic comments, said, "I don't have a comment on that."

Executive producer
Bloys later added that Rowling will executive produce the upcoming 'Harry Potter' TV series and her "insights" are going to be helpful.

The new series will be a "faithful adaptation" of the books and feature a completely new cast ensemble. It's unclear whether the original cast will appear for special appearances.
