Indians who are now Academy members

The Academy invites new members

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited 398 new members. Here's a look at the Indians who have received the invitation.

Karan Johar to Jr. NTR

The Academy sent out invitations to Indian film personalities such as directors Mani Ratnam, and Karan Johar, and actors Ram Charan and Jr. NTR.

Siddharth Roy Kapur also joins in

Additionally, 'RRR' music composer MM Keeravani, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, and art director Sabu Cyril also received invitations from the Academy.

'RRR' makes it big

Apart from Charan, Jr. NTR, and Keeravani, 'RRR's 'Naatu Naatu lyricist Chandrabose, and cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar were invited too but director SS Rajamouli was excluded.

Among the other popular names who have received the prestigious invitation, include the likes of Taylor Swift, Austin Butler, Joseph Kosinski, etc.
