Rakesh Roshan's 74th birthday

Rakesh Roshan, a critically acclaimed actor and director, turned 74 years old on Wednesday. On the occasion, let's rewind to his best works as a director.

'Khudgarz'

His directorial debut, 'Khudgarz' (1987), was based on Jeffrey Archer's novel 'Kane and Abel' and led to a Telugu remake.

'Khoon Bhari Maang'

'Khoon Bhari Maang,' an iconic hit, won three National Awards including one for Best Actress. It starred Rekha and Kabir Bedi in the lead roles.

'Karan Arjun'

'Karan Arjun,' the second highest-grossing Bollywood film in 1995, featured Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Kajol.

'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai'

Roshan launched his son Hrithik  Roshan with 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai' (2000), which also marked Ameesha Patel's acting debut.

Lastly, 'Koi... Mil Gaya,' awarded Best Film on Other Social Issues at the 51st National Film Awards, starred Hrithik, Rekha, and Preity Zinta.
