Pakistani Punjabi language film, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan is gearing up for premiere on October 13.

The movie is a remake of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt. It narrates the story of the titular character, played by Fawad, who is a fierce warrior of sorts with a traumatizing past.

Apparently the most expensive Pakistani film by far, the project has been in the making for years. The official first look of the mega-budget venture was, in fact, dropped back in 2018.

Fawad and Mahira Khan have shared the screen space in a hit Pakistani TV show called ‘Humsafar’ that aired in 2011. They have also separately starred in several Indian movies.

Directed by Bilal Lashar, the film's trailer was dropped recently, which promises an action-packed period drama with ample elements of romance and emotion.
