Rakul Preet Singh's 'Chhatriwali' heads for direct OTT release

Intro

After a long wait, Bollywood star Rakul Preet Singh's upcoming movie 'Chhatriwali' is set to have its digital premiere soon. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the film also stars Sumeet Vyas.

OTT streamer

While the release date has not been announced yet, OTT platform ZEE5 announced on Thursday that they have bagged the film's premiere rights. A new look of Singh was also released.

Plot

Singh will play a quality control head at a condom factory. Though embarrassed about her job initially, she would realize the importance of safe sex and then try to destigmatize the conversation.

Busy year

Singh has had two back-to-back releases this year, 'Doctor G' and 'Thank God,' but both tanked at the box office. 'Chhatriwali' will be led by the actor solo, hence enhancing expectations.
