Federline, Spears's ex-husband, who was quoted by 'Dail Mail' called out the journalist Barak for "fabricating lies and exploiting minors for clickbait." He also questioned their journalistic ethics.

The article in question claimed that the singer's family fears she may harm herself with an overdose and "die like Amy Winehouse."
