Reports suggest a fallout between Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji as the announcement of Brahmastra's sequel and threequel did not mention Johar's name or his production house.

Mukerji, known for 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', returned with 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' in 2022, all backed by Johar's Dharma Productions.

Per reports, Mukerji's announcement of release dates without informing Johar triggered a rumored fallout. Johar had allowed Mukerji to exceed the budget for it.

The intellectual property rights are held by Mukerji and not Johar. If Mukerji is looking for new makers, he'll have to return the investments Johar made.

'Brahmastra Part Two: Dev'

The sequel 'Brahmastra Part Two: Dev', is rumored to feature Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The movie is expected to be released in 2026.
