Twitter lays off more employees

Cuts at Twitter

Twitter has laid off at least 50 employees, including product head and Elon Musk loyalist Esther Crawford. The cuts are aimed at reducing costs.

Twitter fired most of the remaining products team. Crawford was in charge of Twitter Blue and the upcoming payments platform.

Twitter axed some of the start-up founders who joined via acquisitions. Martijn de Kuijper and Haraldur Thorleifsson were among those let go.

Employees were cut off from using Slack prior to the layoffs. This was seen as a sign of impending layoffs.
