NSE's active users hit 3.4cr in November

NSE user growth

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) saw a fifth consecutive month of growth in active users, reaching 3.49 crore in November. It was 3.39 crore in October.

Equity market rally

This increase is attributed to the ongoing equity market rally, with Sensex and Nifty50 indices rising around 20% each since April.

Contributing factors

Factors contributing to the growth include strong GDP numbers, increased foreign investor activity, and expectations of potential US Federal Reserve rate cuts.

Record demat accounts

In November, 27.80 lakh new demat accounts were opened, bringing the total to a record high of 13.51 crore.

Strong fundamentals attract

Devarsh Vakil of HDFC Securities stated that Indian macroeconomic fundamentals are strong and attracting both domestic and foreign investors.
