Efficiency push

Meta is set to fire 4,000 employees as part of Mark Zuckerberg's push to restructure the organization. He wants 2023 to be the "year of efficiency."

Second round

Meta's decision to fire 4,000 employees is part of the second round of layoffs Zuckerberg announced in March. The company will terminate 10,000 roles in total.

Engineers

Meta will fire engineers and technical staff working on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Reality Labs in this round.

Reorganized divisions

Meta is expected to reveal its reorganized divisions after job cuts. Employees will also learn about new managers.
