Indian IT CEOs' remuneration declined

Tech wages drop

In FY23, CEOs of India's top IT firms experienced a significant drop in remuneration due to the IT sector slump, as per annual reports.

HCL's drastic cut

HCL Tech CEO C Vijaykumar's remuneration fell 80% to Rs. 30 crore in FY23 from Rs. 130 crore in FY22, due to the absence of a long-term incentive.

Tech Mahindra & Infosys

Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani's annual remuneration fell 50% to Rs. 32 crore in FY23, while Infosys CEO Salil Parekh saw a 20% cut.

Wipro's reduction

Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte's annual pay fell to Rs. 82.4 crore in FY23 from Rs. 86 crore in FY22, while Chairman Rishad Premji's compensation dropped by 50%.

Rising pay

Despite remuneration drop, Indian IT CEOs earn more than their predecessors due to increased company revenues. Infosys CEO got <1 crore in 2013.
