Foxconn's Bengaluru factory to open soon

Bengaluru Factory

Foxconn, Apple's largest supplier, plans to start production at its upcoming factory at Devanahalli in Bengaluru by April 1, 2024.

Discussing factory plans

Foxconn recently purchased 300 acres of land at Devanahalli. Its executives met with Karnataka government's representatives to discuss the factory.

Land transfer

Karnataka government to transfer land to Foxconn before July 1, in line with the company's plan to start production by April 2022 to 2024.

Foxconn's plans

Foxconn plans to manufacture 20 million smartphones annually. The project will be completed in three phases and provide employment to 50,000 people.

India's iPhone boom

Foxconn's new factory in India is expected to boost the country's share in global iPhone production, which currently stands at 7%, up from just 1% in 2021.
