Amazon faces a lawsuit from the FTC and 17 states in the US for alleged antitrust violations, including inflating prices and overcharging sellers.

The suit, filed in Washington, DC, follows a years-long investigation and comes at a time when Google is also facing one of the biggest antitrust trials in the US.

Accusations include deterring sellers from offering lower prices elsewhere, replacing search results with paid ads, favoring Amazon's brands, and imposing heavy fees on sellers.

Prime eligibility pressure

Amazon also allegedly forces sellers to use its logistics service 'Fulfillment by Amazon' service to qualify for Amazon Prime.

FTC's actions against Amazon

The FTC has recently taken multiple actions against Amazon, including suing for deceptive practices in Prime subscriptions and violating child privacy laws on Alexa.
