A Volvo C40 Recharge electric SUV caught fire while driving in Chhattisgarh, with passengers escaping unharmed.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is ongoing. An official statement from Volvo is expected soon.

The C40 Recharge, introduced in India in 2023, has a 530km range and charges in 27 minutes. It hits 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds.
