Toyota RAV4 is bestselling car of 2022

Sales figures

Toyota RAV4 topped the charts (10,16,000 units), Corolla was second (9,92,000), Tesla Model Y came third (7,47,000), Honda CR-V was fourth (7,33,000), and Camry was fifth (6,73,000).

Design

Toyota RAV4 has a muscular bonnet, a blacked-out hexagonal grille, LED headlights with DRLs, fog lamps, roof rails, indicator-mounted ORVMs, flared wheel arches, and stylish alloy rims.

Engine

The Toyota RAV4 is available in both standard and hybrid forms, with a 2.5-liter petrol engine generating up to 219hp. Transmission options include an 8-speed automatic or a CVT gearbox.

Interiors

The Toyota RAV4 has automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and ventilated seats. It houses a digital instrument cluster and a 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Verdict

In India, the Toyota RAV4 will cost around Rs. 50-60 lakh. Considering India's price-sensitive market, RAV4 won't be able to attract enough customers in the premium segment.
