Royal Enfield to set up 'Reown' program

By Dwaipayan Roy

1

What's special?

The company aims to follow a similar business model to that of Ducati and Triumph, where all pre-owned bikes undergo multi-point quality checks and sold with a limited-period warranty.

2

Advantages

The pre-owned bike program is expected to help Royal Enfield consolidate the unorganized used motorcycle market and provide customers with more affordable options.

3

Attracting cost-conscious buyers

With most RE bikes priced over Rs. 2 lakh, offering certified pre-owned bikes at lower prices could attract buyers deterred by the high cost of new motorcycles.

4

Goal

By entering the used bike market, Royal Enfield has the opportunity to expand its customer base and solidify its position within the industry.

5

Prices

As of now, most Royal Enfield bikes are currently priced well over Rs. 2 lakh (on-road), and the upcoming Bullet model is expected to be even more expensive.
