Okaya Motofaast launched in India

Okaya Motofaast goes official in India

Homegrown EV maker Okaya has introduced its newest electric scooter, the Motofaast, in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design

The electric scooter flaunts an apron-mounted LED headlamp, angular mirrors, a wide handlebar, a flat footboard, a single-piece seat, an LED taillamp, and designer wheels.

Performance

The Okaya Motofaast gets a 3.08hp hub-mounted electric motor with a dual battery system that has a combined capacity of 3.53kWh. It has a claimed riding range of up to 130km on a single charge.

Safety

For safety features, the Motofaast e-scooter has an IP67 rating and comes with an incident buzzer that warns the rider at least five minutes in advance in case of a thermal runaway.

Pricing

Okaya has launched the scooter in India with a price tag of Rs. 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom). Pre-orders are now being accepted for a token amount of Rs. 2,500. Deliveries are expected to start soon.
