ICE-powered Mini Cooper in the works

British marque MINI is set to unveil the ICE-powered Cooper, with production-ready hardtop and convertible versions spotted testing in Germany.

2

Design

Sharing design elements with their electric siblings, these models will feature a larger grille and possibly stacked lamp headlights with horizontal LED DRL.

3

Performance

Built on an updated UKL1 platform, the new Coopers are expected to use tweaked versions of their predecessor's engines for reduced emissions. Power figures are yet to be revealed.

4

Interiors

Interiors of the upcoming combustion engine-powered MINI Cooper versions are under wraps. However, we expect them to adopt a minimalist design, similar to that of the electric models.

5

Expectation

As the BMW-owned carmaker aims to shift to an all-EV line-up by 2030, these updated models will likely be among the last to feature combustion engines.
