Five-door Thar spotted testing

Mahindra is preparing to launch a five-door Thar SUV in India by June 2024, offering increased passenger capacity and comfort.

Design

Mahindra Thar 5-door will retain the overall silhouette of the 3-door model and feature circular LED headlamps, redesigned bumpers, silvered skid plates, and rugged 18-inch alloy wheels.

Performance

Powertrain options will feature a 130hp, 2.2-liter diesel engine and a 150hp, 2.0-liter petrol engine, both with 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes.

Interiors

The five-door Thar aims to offer enhanced comfort and convenience, with individual armrests for front-row passengers, separate AC vents for those in the back, and a larger touchscreen unit.

Expectation

Expected to arrive by June 2024, the prices of the five-door Mahindra Thar will likely range from Rs. 16 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
