Trump's NYC home now on Airbnb for $725 a night!
Airbnb has another luxurious listing now: US President Donald Trump's New York City home in Queens, where he spent his childhood. The cost? A whopping $725 (about Rs. 47,855) plus taxes a night. According to a hanging on one the house's walls, Trump lived in the house from 1946 to 1950, the first four years of his life.
The Airbnb listing
"Not much has changed since the Trumps lived here," the listing reads. The accommodation "represents the style and affluence in which the Trumps would have lived". There's a notice too: "This listing has no relationship with the White House, the President, Donald Trump or the Trump organization."
A luxurious stay with five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms!
The "opulent" house has five bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and 16 beds. Various Trump memorabilia, including photos and quotes of the president, adorn the rooms. A life-size cutout of Trump, "a great companion for watching the news late into the night", greets you in the drawing room. An American flag stands tall right outside the house.
The spirit of entrepreneurship on display
The house was built by Fred Trump, the president's father. The family moved to a nearby mansion after Trump turned four. In March, an unnamed party bought the property for $2.14m, then leased it to another for $4,000 monthly. The owners reportedly didn't want to use it in a traditional way anyway. "We knew (the tenants) weren't buying it to move in," they said.
