What does this new tell-all book reveal about Trump?
"Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" a book written by Michael Wolff is the first tell-all book on the Donald Trump presidency. The book reveals several quirky and embarrassing details about Trump, his family and his presidency and has created ripples in the White House. Trump has already threatened former-aide Steve Bannon for revealing confidential information to Wolff. Here are the details!
On Trump's demeanor and character
Wolff compares Trump to an "instinctively pampered and hugely successful actor." "Everybody was either a lackey who did his bidding or a high-ranking film functionary trying to coax out his performance - without making him angry or petulant," he writes. He adds that Trump can't converse, i.e. share information or engage in a balanced back and forth conversation or listen, but demands attention.
Like us, Trump was shocked when he became the President
He further wrote that Trump and his family were shocked at his unexpected victory. Donald Jr. reportedly told a friend that his father looked like "he had seen a ghost, while Melania is described as being in tears that weren't of joy." Wolff mentioned that Trump found the White House "vexing and little scary" during the initial days and retreated to a separate bedroom.
When Steve Bannon spilled some beans!
Bannon stated that he thought a meeting that Trump held with the Russians was "treasonous." He reveals that no lawyers were present at this meeting and that the Russians passed on damaging information about his presidential-opponent, Hillary Clinton. Bannon also stated that the ongoing investigation on Russian interference in 2016 US elections would make Donald Trump Jr. crack like an egg on national TV.
The mechanics of Trump's hairdo
Wolff writes that Ivanka Trump constantly made fun of her father's hairdo. Trump has had a scalp-reduction surgery, resulting in contained scalp surrounded by hair on the sides and front which is combed and stiffened. Trump uses a hairspray called "Just for Men" for the color. "The longer it was left on, the darker it got. Impatience resulted in Trump's orange-blond hair-colour," Wolff writes.
Ivanka plans on being America's first woman president?
"The two (Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner) had made an earnest deal: If sometime in the future the opportunity arose, she'd be the one to run for president. The first woman president would not be Hillary Clinton; it would be Ivanka," Wolff writes.
