#BrightestCriminalEver: US man breaks into car, falls asleep, gets arrested
Stealing is a risky business, especially if you're dumb. You never know when, where or how you may end up after the act. Meet this 'not-so-witty' criminal from the US, who broke into cars to steal things and then fell asleep in one of them. His sweet slumber was disturbed by US police in the morning, who were waiting to arrest him. Ouch!
Man was found sleeping with the items he stole
The officers from Cherokee County Sheriff's Office received a call early morning about someone stealing from a car in the Tyson Woods neighborhood of Acworth. On searching the neighborhood, Timothy Zacharie was found in deep slumber inside the car. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The 23-year-old sleepy thief was found sleeping with all the stolen items-credit cards, cash, gift-cards, and IDs.
Zacharie stole from eight cars, only to sleep in one
According to the police, Zacharie had stolen from eight cars in the neighborhood before falling asleep in one of them. The police took him into custody and charged him with eight counts of entering an auto, one count of burglary and violation of probation.
Zacharie isn't the only sleepyhead among thieves
While Zacharie's mistake may sound unusual, it's not. In another hilarious theft-gone-wrong incident, a thief fell asleep after eating a pie in the house he broke into. The incident occurred in November 2017 in Scotland. Although he fulfilled his cravings, he woke up in handcuffs the next morning. It seems life as a criminal is tough, they apparently don't get enough sleep.
