As the counting of votes for the 2020 United States Presidential election continues, President Donald Trump issued a statement. Trump, who is seeking re-election, has alleged "fraud" in the Presidential election, even as he remained confident of his victory. Currently, the Presidential race remains too close to call. The President has pledged to fight the results of the election at the Supreme Court.
Trump thanks voters for 'tremendous support'
Addressing a press conference, Trump thanked voters for their "tremendous support" adding that a "sad group of people" was trying to disenfranchise them. Confident of a victory, he said that they are "getting ready for the big celebration." He went on to add, "Frankly, we did win this election." "The citizens of this country have come out in record numbers," he said.
'They are never going to catch us'
Trump said that they won Florida "by a lot," adding, "We won the great state of Ohio. We won Texas by 700,000 votes and they don't even include it in the tabulations. It's also clear that we have won Georgia. We're up by 2.5% or 117,000 votes with only 7% left." "They are never going to catch us. They can't catch us," he added.
Trump alleges fraud in Presidential election
After detailing the Republican victories in the early trends, Trump said, "...and all of a sudden, everything just stopped." The President then alleged fraud in the Presidential election, moments after he tweeted that "they're trying to steal the election." "This is a fraud on the American public," he said. "We will be going to the US Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop."
'As far as I'm concerned, we have won'
"We want the law to be used in a proper manner...We don't want them to find ballots at four o'clock in the morning and add them to the list," Trump said. "We'll win this and as far as I'm concerned, we already have won."

Further, Vice President Mike Pence added that they're going to remain "vigilant" as the votes continue to be counted. "The right to vote has been at the center of our democracy since the founding of this nation and we are going to protect the integrity of the vote," he said, "We're on the road to victory and we will make America great again, again."
'They are trying to steal election. We won't let them'
Over an hour before the presser, Trump had tweeted, "We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!" This tweet was flagged by Twitter as "misleading." Even after polls close, voters are officially allowed to cast vote if they remain in line.
