US astrology influencer worried about solar eclipse, kills partner, infant
A 34-year-old astrology influencer from the United States stabbed her partner to death and threw her two children from a moving SUV because she was "worried about the end of the world with the eclipse." Ahead of the murders, Danielle Cherakiyah Johnson expressed fears about an upcoming solar eclipse, referring to it as "the epitome of spiritual warfare" on X. While detectives have analyzed Johnson's posts, they don't believe the eclipse was a contributory factor to the murders.
Details emerge on the tragic events leading to deaths
Reports suggest that Johnson and her partner, Jaelen Allen Chaney, had a dispute early Monday morning at their Woodland Hills home in Los Angeles. Following the disagreement, Johnson is alleged to have stabbed Chaney and fled with their two children in a Porsche Cayenne. She is then suspected of throwing her daughters from a moving vehicle on Interstate 405 in Culver City around 4:30 a.m., causing the infant's death. The older child, a nine-year-old, survived the ordeal.
Possible suicide attempt under investigation
After the alleged crimes, Johnson continued driving to Redondo Beach before crashing into a tree at high speed approximately half an hour later. Police are investigating whether this single-vehicle accident was a suicide attempt. The Los Angeles Times was the first to report on Johnson's social media activities in connection with the killings. "Get your protection on and your heart in the right place," she posted on April 4. On April 5, she wrote, "Wake up...the apocalypse is here."
