How Trump's incessant whining led us to a delicious bread
Say what you want about United States President Donald Trump. At least we know he's the one managing his own social media. Nobody would pay anyone to spill that amount of nonsense out into the world. Recently, however, while Trump was complaining about his term (as he does), he accidentally directed us to a 14th-century traditional German holiday bread. Here are more details.

In a now-deleted tweet dated May 5, the US President wrote, "Despite the tremendous success that I have had as President, including perhaps the greatest ECONOMY and most successful first two years of any President in history, they have stollen two years of my (our) Presidency (Collusion Delusion) that we will never be able to get back." The typo was later corrected.

What is Stollen?
Stollen reportedly dates back to the year 1329. It's a German bread made with candied or dried fruits, nuts, and spices, and coated with icing sugar. Traditionally, Stollen is consumed around Christmas, when it's called Weihnachtsstollen, derived from "Weihnachten"(Christmas), or Christstollen (derived from Christ).

Almost immediately, the tweet brought back fond memories of the German baked good, usually consumed during the holiday season, for some people who then shared it with the rest of Twitterverse. "Perhaps he's missing a loaf of bread. I've got a good recipe if he needs it," wrote one Twitter user. "Get the stollen cakes in! Make Christmas come early," stated another.
