2 dead, 3 missing after bridge collapses in South Korea
What's the story
A bridge under construction on the Seoul-Sejong highway in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea collapsed on Tuesday.
The incident left two people dead and five injured. The National Fire Agency said that four of the injured are in serious condition while one has minor injuries.
Authorities are currently searching for three people believed to be trapped under the debris.

Bridge collapse occurred during construction process
The bridge collapse happened at around 9:50am local time in Anseong, about 65km south of Seoul.
According to the Yonhap news agency, five 50-meter steel structures supporting the highway bridge collapsed one after the other after being hoisted into place by a crane.
Local media aired dramatic footage of a section of the bridge falling and creating a massive cloud of smoke.

Rescue efforts
Rescue operations underway at South Korean bridge collapse site
Emergency teams were immediately sent to the spot to help with rescue operations.
An interior ministry official confirmed the injured were being taken to hospitals for treatment.
Acting President Choi Sang-mok has given urgent orders to mobilize all available resources and personnel for the rescue operations, involving various agencies including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Fire Agency.
