Trump launches Rolex-inspired 'Trump Watches' priced up to ₹83 lakh
Former United States President Donald Trump has launched a new line of luxury timepieces, known as "Trump Watches." The collection was announced on Truth Social and is said to be inspired by Rolex designs. With prices reaching up to $100,000 (₹83,70,920), these watches are being marketed as "great" Christmas gifts. The collection offers two models: the "Trump Victory Tourbillon" and the "Fight Fight Fight."
Trump's luxury watch collection: A closer look
The Trump Victory Tourbillon, priced at $100,000, is available in gold, rose gold, and black. The watch is made from approximately 200gm of solid 18 Karat Gold and adorned with 122 individual VS1 Diamonds. Buyers of the "Trump Victory Tourbillon" can opt for a personalized thank-you message from Trump printed on the caseback. This model is limited to 147 pieces, targeting "President Trump and only 147 of his most dedicated collectors."
Personalized messages and limited edition offering
The more affordable "Fight Fight Fight" model ranges from $499 to $799 and comes in three colorways, including MAGA red. It features an image of Trump on its back, symbolizing his fighting spirit. Since entering the political arena years ago, Trump has made millions by selling items featuring his name and image. For example, last year he earned $7.2 million from a licensing agreement with NFT INT, LLC, a company that sells Trump digital NFT, or non-fungible token, "trading cards."
Trump's merchandise ventures amidst legal troubles
Just recently, he released silver coins dubbed "Trump Coins" priced at $100, three times the market price. Other merchandise includes $300 sneakers commemorating his near-death experience, NFT trading cards featuring Trump in various costumes, and a limited-edition "God Bless the USA Bible" priced at $60. These items were introduced amidst a $489 million civil fraud judgment against him, which a New York appellate court is considering reducing or reversing.
Licensing agreement behind Trump's merchandise sales
TheBestWatchesOnEarth LLC, a corporation owned by a lawyer in Sheridan, Wyoming, sells the watches under a "paid license agreement" with Trump. A disclaimer on the website says that neither Trump nor his firm designed, manufactured, distributed, or sold the timepieces. The website also clearly states that all watch sales are final and no refunds will be issued.
