The Netherlands and India discuss cooperation across various sectors
On Thursday, The Netherlands and India explored possibilities of cooperation across diverse sectors at a CEOs Round Table hosted in Hyderabad House, New Delhi. The round table was attended by PM Narendra Modi and his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte. Rutte is on a two-day visit to India which is expected to strengthen political and economic cooperation between the two nations. Here's more.

India's agriculture minister had a chat with Dutch deputy PM
Meanwhile, The Netherlands' Deputy Prime Minister Carola Schouten today called India's agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh to discuss possible ways to improve bilateral cooperation in the field. Singh said that India is keen to step up bilateral cooperation in areas like crop residue management, bovine breeding, dairy development, animal health and porcine development etc.
The Netherlands is the fourth largest investor in India
This is Dutch PM Mark Rutte's second visit to India since June 2015. The Netherlands is the fourth largest investor in India across various sectors and the two countries, between April 2017 and February 2018, shared a bilateral trade of $7.621 bn according to official MEA figures. The Netherlands is also home to a 235,000-strong Indian diaspora, the largest in continental Europe.
