In her tweet, the minister said that the "situation in Tripoli is deteriorating fast," and that flights are operational currently. The crisis began during the Arab Spring Protests in 2011
The Libyan crisis can be traced back to the Arab Spring protests in 2011. After two civil wars and interventions by several foreign Armed forces, the UN brokered ceasefire agreement in December 2015, and a new government was formed, with PM Fayez al-Sarraj as its head. Amid clashes between the government and rebel troops, the violence in Tripoli worsened during the month of April.
