The scientist was reportedly found strangled to death with a belt in his Rogova Street apartment in Russia on Thursday. According to reports, an intruder broke into his house and argued with him about money.
29-year-old arrested and charged with murder
A 29-year-old man has been arrested by the police and charged with murder in connection with the case. He had reportedly served a 10-year prison sentence earlier, Daily Mail reported. As per the report, the defendant confessed to the murder during an interrogation. The Investigative Committee of Russia claimed to have caught the suspect in "the shortest possible time."
