In a tragic incident, a popular Russian Instagram influencer has been found dead at her rented apartment in Moscow. Ekaterina Karaglanova's body was found stuffed inside a travel suitcase with the throat slit. Ahead of her birthday, Karaglanova's family tried to contact her but found her unreachable. Upon failing to reach her, Karaglanova's parents grew concerned and requested access to her apartment. According to Russian newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets (MK), the parents then found Karaglanova's legs protruding from a suitcase in the hallway. She reportedly had stab wounds in the neck and chest.
Police suspect she was killed by ex-boyfriend out of jealousy
The police suspect that Karaglanova was murdered by a jealous ex as the 24-year-old had recently started a new relationship. Additionally, upon looking into the CCTV footage, the police discovered that a former boyfriend, who left for Europe after the murder, had visited her apartment around the time of her death. According to MK, she is believed to have been killed on Friday.

According to BBC, Karaglanov held a residency at a Moscow medical school, specializing in dermatology. She has 90,000 followers on Instagram and even maintained a travel blog. Her followers likened her appearance to late British actor Audrey Hepburn. She was supposed to leave for her trip to The Netherlands on July 28 and had last spoken to her parents the week before.
