#Bus-ted: 4 Russians dress as 'bus' to cross vehicle-only bridge
The act of instant resourcefulness or what we Indians like to call 'jugaad' is something people in all countries are familiar with. It can be mind-boggling at times while sometimes it may provide fodder for an embarrassing story to save for conversations. Case in point: Four men in Russia tried to cross a vehicle-only bridge disguised as a bus. It didn't end well though.
Crossing vehicle-only bridge using cardboard cut-out felt 'cakewalk' to them
The Zolotoy Bridge, also known as the Golden Bridge, in Vladivostok, has been closed for pedestrian traffic since 2015. But, this obviously was a tiny obstacle for the four smarty-pants. They made a well-devised plan to cross the bridge. For the purpose, they acquired the perfect disguise- a cardboard cut-out of a yellow bus, got inside, and started their 'journey'.
They were literally 'caught in the act'
Just when the four men thought their awesome disguise is working, they got busted. A guard on duty started following them and told them to stop. They were then escorted off. Meanwhile, the vehicle owners on the bridge sure had fun riding alongside a cardboard bus. One of them recorded the whole incident, and the video has gone viral on social media.
Hop on, everybody!
And, social media couldn't stop rolling on the floor
As expected, the video made the day for many netizens. People all over the world couldn't stop laughing and sharing the video online. The Moscow Times posted the news on Twitter with the caption, "When in doubt, be a bus, like these Russians on Vladivostok's Zolotoy Bridge." However, others lauded the men's efforts, with one netizen saying, "Trust me guys this will definitely work."
Locals feel walking on the bridge is faster than driving
According to reports, locals had protested against the walking ban on the bridge, claiming it to be a major inconvenience. Apparently, locals feel walking on the bridge is faster and easier than being stuck in traffic there. Maybe, that's what the four men were thinking. Now, it obviously wasn't a solid plan, maybe next time they'll come up with a better cut-out.
