Donald and Melania Trump's wedding cake up for auction
A souvenir cake from US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump's wedding has been put on auction with a minimum bid of just $250. Los Angeles-based auction house Julien's Auctions is accepting the bids on a serving of the wedding cake which was originally provided as a take-home souvenir for guests at the wedding.

The duo had cut a seven-tier cake worth $50,000 at their wedding in 2005. However, according to Julien's Auctions, an altogether different cake was displayed during their reception which "was not eaten by the wedding guests due to the amount of wire used to make it stand". Instead, guests were given chocolate truffle cakes in white paper boxes.
The current bid already stands at $1,250
The portion of the wedding cake up for auction will be offered in the same paper box as the ones used for the duo's wedding in 2005. Julien's Auctions is hoping to sell the portion for somewhere between $1,000 and $2,000. However, with only six bids entered so far, the current bid already stands at $1,250. Only time will tell how high it'll go.
