Horrific video: 24-year-old pregnant Pakistani singer shot dead while singing
Horrific video has emerged of a pregnant 24-year-old Pakistani singer, who was shot dead during an event in Sindh while she was singing on the dais. Initial reports said Samina Samoon had been killed as she had refused an attendee's request to stand and sing, but the clip shows her standing up while the guests toss money at her.

Samoon, also known as Samina Sindhu, was performing at a function in Kanga village near Larkana on Tuesday, when a man identified as Tarique Ahmed Jatoi apparently asked her to stand up. She refused presumably as she was pregnant, but an intoxicated Jatoi kept badgering her, and finally shot her. The audience rushed her to a hospital, but she was declared brought dead.
Husband demands FIR for 'double-murder' over wife, unborn child's deaths
According to Samina's husband, the victim was six months pregnant. He demanded the FIR mention double murder: that of Samina and their unborn child. The funeral of the slain singer was later offered at Jinnah Bagh. A large number of relatives, regional musicians and artistes arrived to pay tribute. Local media reported the police have arrested the main accused.
Artistes allege shoddy probe, claim musicians arrested instead of accused
However, artistes claimed instead of the accused, police had arrested the musicians present at the scene instead. They later staged a sit-in and raised slogans, demanding the removal of the Kanga Police Station SHO and an independent investigation into the crime. The Kanga SHO was finally removed and SIP Hazoor Bux Junejo posted as the replacement, Pakistan Today reported.
