Reason
Unknown why plane crashed
Flight tracking data shows that the ATR 72-500, a twin-engine turboprop airliner, descended 17,000 feet in a single minute, but the reason remains unclear.
Voepass CEO Eduardo Busch told a press conference that the plane had two black boxes—devices that preserve flight data and are designed to withstand crashes—and that two highly certified laboratories would evaluate them.
