Pakistan: Major terror attack foiled, five suspected suicide bombers killed
Pakistani security forces today killed five suspected suicide bombers, apparently Afghan nationals, who tried to enter the FC Madadgar Center in Quetta and foiled a major terrorist attack in the troubled Balochistan province. Four soldiers were also injured. The attack was in retaliation for the killing of a key commander of the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in Kili Almas in the province last night. Here's more.
Terrorists carried out suicide attack on Ramzan's first day
The failed attack came just hours after a suicide bomber struck an FC convoy in the northwestern city of Nowshera, wounding 10 people. On the first day of the holy month of Ramazan, terrorists also carried out a suicide attack on an FC vehicle in Nowshera in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. At least 12 people, including six security forces personnel, were injured in the blast.
