Pakistan to choose its next PM on July 25

Pakistan's upcoming general elections for Parliament and Provincial Assemblies will be held on July 25, according to a decree signed by President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had requested the president to grant permission to hold elections between July 25 and 27.
A total of 105.95mn voters will cast their votes, of which 59.2mn are male and 46.7mn female.

Pakistan's current government is second to complete five-year tenure
The present government will complete its tenure on May 31. A caretaker government will take over from June 1 and remain in office until a new government is set up.
This is the second consecutive elected government to complete a five-year tenure. It was elected in 2013.
According to the law, ECP proposes dates to the president for general elections, who decides one.
