China objects to Nirmala Sitharaman's visit to Arunachal military posts
What's the story
Beijing has objected to Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, which it claims is Southern Tibet, a Chinese territory.
The Chinese foreign ministry said, "there was a dispute in the eastern section of the India-China border," referring to her visit.
On Sunday, Sitharaman had visited forward army posts in Arunachal Pradesh's remote Anjaw district bordering China to take stock of defense preparedness.

Xi asks Tibetan herders along Arunachal border to safeguard territory
On October 31, it was reported that President Xi Jinping has told herdsmen from a Tibetan settlement bordering Arunachal Pradesh to "set down roots" and protect China's territorial integrity.
"Without peace in the territory, there will be no peaceful life for millions of families," he wrote in a letter to two young herders.
China may resort to border voluntarism for its border strategy.
