Los Angeles rattled by 'UFO' sighting, turned out SpaceX rocket
Startled crowds in Los Angeles stopped short on Friday as an untraceable light streaked over California. Social media feeds were flooded with videos and photos of the phenomena which many believed to be the long-awaited debut of aliens. However, much to the disappointment of alien conspiracy theorists, the unidentified, jellyfish-like shape soaring over California was identified as Elon Musk's SpaceX satellite fleet.

Details of the SpaceX launch
The spectacular phenomena was SpaceX's Falcon 9 booster which was delivering a fleet of 10 satellites into orbit. The Falcon 9 was launched from the Vandenburg Air Force base around 5.30 pm, California time. The SpaceX mission was the company's fourth flight for long-time customer Iridium Communications Inc. Musk, of course, couldn't resist a quip at the baffled crowds.
