What's the story

The bird just wanted to be left alone, but its owner was concerned, as it was perched on the neighbor's roof for three days. Animal protection group was called, which failed to rescue the bird. Then the fire department took over. That's when the bird probably lost it. So, when an official tried bonding with it, the cranky bird told him to 'f**k off'! Read on to know what happened.

Details

The bright yellow and turquoise macaw parrot fled her home

This hilarious incident happened last week when Jessie, a bright yellow and turquoise macaw parrot fled her home in Edmonton, UK. She stationed herself on the neighbor's house and stayed there for three days. Worried that Jessie might be injured and therefore unable to move, her human partner sought help from Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).

Efforts

Her rescuer first kept a bowl of feed for wooing

They failed and asked London Fire Brigade (LFB) to intervene. A fire engine arrived and the team was discussing on a volunteer who'd bring the moody macaw down. Crew manager Atinc Horoz agreed and went up the ladder wearing the usual bright-yellow helmet and started his efforts to bond with the bird. He first kept a bowl to woo her with food, which failed.

Funny!

She told 'I love you' and much more to rescuer

Horoz then said 'I love you' to bond with Jessie, as was told to him, said LFB watch manager Chris Swallow. She responded with a 'I love you,' so Horoz thought they are friends now. Horoz now used Turkish and Greek to prod her to come down, as Jessie is multilingual and understands the two languages. A clear mistake, as Horoz would realize later!

Sure grumpy!

What have I to thank you for: Jessie to LFB

Tired of all coaxing, Jessie went grumpier and threw a volley of expletives at Horoz, before flying away. She then perched herself atop another roof and then on a tree. LFB officials realized she wasn't injured, so retreated from the operation. Meanwhile, Jessie returned home that afternoon. Her owner then sent a video to LFB, where Jessie can be seen saying 'thank you', unwillingly!
