Currently held at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, Mangione admitted to receiving letters of support from across the United States and around the world.
"Powerfully, this support has transcended political, racial, and even class divisions," he said.
Although he can't respond to most letters due to his situation, he assured his supporters that he reads every letter he gets.
