King Charles cancels engagements after cancer treatment side effects
What's the story
King Charles III has canceled his engagements for Friday after suffering "temporary side effects" from his treatment for cancer.
Buckingham Palace released a statement confirming that after scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer on Thursday, the King required a short hospital observation period.
Consequently, all of His Majesty's afternoon appointments were postponed.
The 76-year-old monarch is being treated for an undisclosed type of cancer, which was diagnosed in February 2024.
