Kim Jong-un has turned alcoholic and a smoker, reveals report

He appears to weigh more than 140 kg now
Despite previous reports in 2021 that suggested Kim Jong-un had shed nearly 20 kgs through a health regimen, it seems he has regained all the weight. He is "estimated to weigh over 140 kilograms," disclosed Yoo Sang-bum, a member of South Korea's parliamentary intelligence committee during a briefing. The lawmaker also mentioned that Kim has been hoarding US imports like Marlboro cigarettes.
In his public appearance, he looked tired, had dark circles
According to Yoo, the North Korean leader seems to be trapped in a harmful pattern of depending on excessive drinking and smoking, which is worsening his sleep problems. Yoo noted that during Kim's public appearance on May 16, he looked tired, with noticeable dark circles. Moreover, there are concerns that he is stockpiling medications like Zolpidem, which is used to treat insomnia.
He could possibly be suffering from stress-induced dermatitis too
While North Korea's tightly controlled state media rarely discusses the leader's well-being, Kim Jong-un was quoted in March mentioning his habit of working through the night, staying awake until at least 5:00 am. The South Korean lawmaker has also noted that Kim has been seen with "scratches and bruises" around his arms, which they suggested could be attributed to "stress-induced dermatitis."
Kim Jong-un's health has been subject to continuous speculation
Kim's health has been a subject of continuous speculation. When he disappeared at the start of the pandemic, some thought he was in a coma or even dead. Now, he's gaining weight and leading a hedonistic lifestyle while his country is struggling with severe food shortage. Hunger-related deaths have tripled this year, and suicides have gone up by 40%, according to The Korea Herald.
