Analysts stated that the Nangarhar province, which borders Pakistan has long been a hub of ISIS terrorists.

ISIS has used the region to launch attacks against the Afghan forces as well as the Taliban.

The US recently dropped the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb on the region killing several ISIS terrorists.

There are at least 1000 ISIS terrorists still active in the region.

    Journalists suffering in Afghanistan?

Journalists have long been bearing the brunt of the Afghan war.

According to the Afghan Journalists' Safety Committee (AJSC), 2016 was the deadliest year on record for journalists in the country.

It also ranks Afghanistan the second most dangerous place in the world for journalists, after Syria.

At least 13 journalists were killed last year, with the Taliban responsible for almost all of them.
