'Not a...movie': Video shows Israel's Iron Dome intercepting Iranian missiles
A video of Israel's Iron Dome defense system intercepting a barrage of missiles from Iran has gone viral. Approximately 200 missiles were fired by Iran on Tuesday night, targeting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. This retaliation by Iran was allegedly triggered by the killing of the leaders of its allies, Hezbollah and Hamas. Hezbollah was led by Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah from 1992 until his assassination in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut last week.
British Airways pilot captures missile launch mid-flight
A British Airways pilot en route to Dubai captured footage of the missile launch from his cockpit. The video showed how close Iran was to starting an international incident when they fired rockets into the sky without first checking to make sure they wouldn't hit any civilian air traffic from around the world. According to reports, airlines hurried to divert their planes away from the Middle East when Iranian missiles began flying without warning about 7:30pm local time.

Israel's defense systems respond to missile attack
In response to the attack, Israel activated its Iron Dome system and other defense mechanisms such as David's Sling and Arrow 2 and 3. These systems were initially designed to counter short-range rocket attacks from Hezbollah and Hamas but had to be adapted for Iran's higher-altitude ballistic missiles. "Iran made a big mistake tonight, and it will pay for it," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned during a security cabinet meeting.
US reaffirms support for Israel, condemns Iran's attack
US President Joe Biden has once again backed Israel, calling Iran's attack "ineffective." US destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean Sea destroyed a number of Iranian missiles, according to US defense officials. The USS Arleigh Burke, USS Cole, and USS Bulkeley are among the vessels presently in the region Over at the United Nations, Israel's Ambassador Danny Danon warned that Iran would soon pay a heavy price for its actions.
